Elena Rybak Moderated the Discussion of Cost Reduction at the Conference on Investments in Real Estate

On the 11th of February 2019 Elena Rybak, Managing Director of iC consulenten Ukraine moderated the session “Specificity of cost optimization at different stages of the developer`s project” within Central Open Mind Conference on Investments in Real Estate.

Experts from engineering and design companies as well as consulting firms, working on the real estate market attended the event.

The discussion focused on methods of cost reduction for construction due to some approaches in design and project management in real estate. The presented  cases proved that increase of capital investments (f.i.,purchase of heating boilers, energy efficiency lighting system installation) allows reducing operational expenses significantly.

“Decisions made at the first stages of construction are crucial for the building operational costs. System of “Green Certifications” allows reducing resource-intensiveness of the building by 30-40%. All buildings, which are now under construction, will be functioning nearest 50 years. Therefore, we are responsible for the environmental impact and for the health and safety of future generations”, – said Elena during the discussion.
