Elena Rybak was re-elected to the Board of the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency for 2018

On February 20, at the ninth General Meeting of the Association “European-Ukrainian Energy Agency” (EUEA) Elena Rybak was re-elected to the Board. Maryna Ilchuk (Arzinger), Kirill Ermishin (DTEK) have also become Board members and Mats Lundin was elected as a Chairman of the Board.

During the General Meeting, the report for 2017 year was presented and EUEA strategic development plan for 2018 was approved. EUEA made a strategic decision to expand the operational focus and concentrate on the sustainable development, which includes a number of important areas for Ukraine, in particular: alternative energy and energy efficiency, e-mobility, development of infrastructure of electric transport, waste management and circular economy, intellectual management of sustainable urban development – Smart City, effective modernization of municipal infrastructure etc.

“We are looking forward to see the membership of EUEA grow and the organization becoming again a strong voice for Ukraine’s sustainable development. Once again we are re-convinced that this is a needed platform for the market” – explains Elena Rybak.

New areas will provide members of Association with potential for growth and opportunities to effect the sustainable development market of Ukraine.

Elena Rybak headed the Association during 2009-2012 at the position of a Director. Under Elena’s leadership, EUEA became the leading platform for promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy in Ukraine, bringing together key market leaders at that time. One of the most well-known projects was the annual “European-Ukrainian Energy Day”. The Association was also one of the first to convey the importance of Energy Community Treaty and actively cooperated with the Secretariat.

Since 2013 as a member of the Board of EUEA Elena continues to support the Association. This year she will be again responsible for organization of the event related to certification of commercial real estate according to international standards and will support the topic of effective municipal infrastructure modernization.
