Project description

Construction of a cutting-edge school centre offering an open school concept with a high degree of flexibility. All common areas are open to all school types. Controlled ventilation and cooling utilising groundwater ensure a high degree of convenience. Integration of a kindergarten including outdoor areas and construction of a car park.

Project data

The school centre houses three different types of schools providing compulsory education: a special needs school (10 classes), a lower secondary school (16 classes) and a pre-vocational school (6 classes) including the necessary equipment (gym hall, kitchen, workshops etc.). In addition there is also a kindergarten (4 groups) and a public car park for approx. 300 vehicles. The project by the architecture office NMBP, which prevailed in an architecture competition, is implemented on an area of 8,363 m².

Inner-city area with a high building density, high groundwater level, probability of detecting archaeological remains and relics of the second world war.
