Recently, Vitaliy Shapovalenko, Energy Efficiency Institutional and Policy Expert of iC consulenten, published an article “ESCO services market without illusions”  in the LIGABusinessInform.

In this article, the author briefly answers such questions: Where to get funds for energy efficiency? Which interests the potential investors have and what are investment barriers on ESCO services market? What could be additional considerations for Energy Efficiency Fund?

ESCOs are not widely spread in Ukraine due to the existing legal, economic and financial barriers. As experience of developed countries shows the future has to be about implementation of ESCO models. It is essential to engage the potential of private, institutional and individual investors as efficiently as possible.
