7th European-Ukrainian Energy Day orginazed by the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA) was held in Kyiv on November 3rd and confirmed its status as the most significant annual event about Ukrainian Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. iC consulenten participated as a partner and sponsor, together with DTEK, Vestas Ukraine, ABB Ukraine, Arzinger, IQ energy, Ukrgasbank, and CNBM.
More than 200 delegates presenting all energy professionals, from law makers to developers, SMEs and large companies, IFIs, NGOs, donors and entrepreneurs, operating in Ukraine discussed global energy trends and their impact on Ukraine, empowering women and their role in Ukraine’s energy sector, Ukrainian future with renewables, energy efficiency in buildings, and Financing Ukraine’s energy future.
As in past, iC actively supported the event. Elena Rybak, iC consulenten Ukraine Managing Director and EUEA Board Member, acted as a moderator of “Energy Efficiency in buildings: largest “potential” – the biggest challenge” panel. Michael Reidlinger, Leading Expert of iC consulenten Austria, told about necessity of proper air conditioning in all types of buildings. Vitaliy Shapovalenko, Energy Efficiency Institutional and Policy Expert of iC Ukraine, told about the developed methodological recommendations for housing unions on preparation of energy savings by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) project “Establishment of Energy Agencies in Ukraine”.
