Vitaliy Shapovalenko Spoke on Financing for Modernization of Aviation Infrastructure in Ukraine

On 24th of January 2019 Vitaliy Shapovalenko, Energy Efficiency Institutional and Policy Expert of iC consulenten Ukraine, spoke at the first conference “Energy Efficiency in Aviation Infrastructure”. The event was  attended by representatives of airports and state institutions, which finance energy efficiency projects. The participants discussed modernization of aviation infrastructure: airport terminals, hangars, lighting of landing strips, parking areas etc.

Vitaliy detailed possible ways to get financing for modernization and gave practical tips to the representatives of Ukrainian airports.

“It is possible to find investments for energy efficiency measures for municipal infrastructure, including airports. For example, to apply for IFI financial programs. Though, only those can apply for participation in these programs who had seriously prepared for a dialogue with IFI and had done “home work”: carried out energy cost evaluation and estimated their reduction, developed project concept, calculated its technical and financial criteria”, – said Vitaliy.
