Elena Rybak was re-elected to the Board of the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency for 2019

On January 30, at the General Meeting of the Association “European-Ukrainian Energy Agency” (EUEA) Elena Rybak was re-elected to the Board.  H. Alper Tuncer, Managing Partner of EMSOLT TEKNOLOJI YATIRIMLARI A.S., Max Lebedev, Partner of GOLAW, Yuri Kubrushko, and Managing Partner of Imepower have also become Board members. Mats Lundin (Celynx) was elected as a Chairman of the Board.

At the General Meeting the financial report and the report of the activities of EUEA for 2018 were adopted.  In addition, participants voted for priority areas for 2019. Among the main topics in the focus of the EUEA remain sectors of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

“Strong NGOs is an important part for the development of many markets. They are crucial for energy market since allow to consolidate experts, develop joint considered position for key issues and convey it to key ministries, institutions and lawmakers. Therefore, active work within EUEA remains for me among key priorities for 2019”, – said Elena Rybak.

Elena Rybak headed the Association during 2009-2013 at the position of a Director. Under Elena’s leadership, EUEA became the leading platform for promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy in Ukraine, bringing together key market leaders at that time. One of the most well-known projects was the annual “European-Ukrainian Energy Day”. The Association was also one of the first to convey the importance of Energy Community Treaty and actively cooperated with the Secretariat. Currently EUEA remains one of the leading Ukrainian NGO, which joins and supports important events in energy sector – in particular, EUEA actively participated in the discussion of adoption of law for auctions for determination of “green” energy price and raised a new topic for Ukraine – modernization of infrastructure in aviation industry.

Since 2013 as a member of the Board of EUEA Elena continues to support the Association and develop one of its most important fields – municipal infrastructure modernization.
