Supermarket Silpo Re Cycling obtained Final BREEAM certificate

Congratulations Silpo on obtaining Final BREEAM certificate for the supermarket Silpo Re Cycling in Sofiivska Borshcshahivka! This is the first supermarket to receive final certification under the BREEAM International 2016 New Construction: Commercial certification scheme in Ukraine. 

Achieving a BREEAM certificate in a country where there is no vast understanding and knowledge on the requirements, can be challenging. iC consulenten Ukraine, as a Sustainability Consultant, were lucky in the case of Silpo Re Cycling – involved since the concept stage of the project development, which supported the integration of the BREEAM requirements and having the full support and motivation of our Client, as well as the experience of our international partner CES clean energy solutions GesmbH as BREEAM Assessor Together we have achieved 50% reduction of primary energy and CO2 emissions; 54% water reduction against baseline scenario; integrated resilience and durability measures to protect the building elements and avoid damages, ensured the better indoor quality conditions (in terms of lighting, air conditions, blower door test, acoustic performance, thermal controls, drinking water, etc.) for the customers and the employees; provided alternative transport modes (bicycle facilities and charging stations for e-cars), and many more.
