Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings of Ivano-Frankivsk: iC team presents a report

iC consulenten presented a Draft final report on the Feasibility Study for Energy Efficiency Improvements in Public Buildings in the City of Ivano-Frankivsk. The project is financed by Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) and is supported by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA). USAID Energy Reform Programme financed the energy audits of 10 public buildings.

In frames of the project, technical and financial experts of iC  performed the analyses of about 50 public buildings, including kindergartens, schools, policlinic, educational rehabilitation center, etc. For each building, included into investment program, several scenarios with different measures have been developed and coordinated with the Municipal development plan.

For the implementation of defined EE measures in public buildings the City aims to receive a loan from NEFCO in the amount of about 5 mio  EURO. The total investment would amount to approx. 8 mio EURO.

On the 19th of May, in Ivano-Frankivsk, the Draft Final Report was presented at the City Council to the City Mayor, members of the Project Implementation Unit, NEFCO, and USAID.

Both, the City Mayor, Mr. Victor Anushkevychus, and Representative of NEFCO, Mr. Bo Nyhus, once again underlined the importance of this project to the city, and especially, its social component. The Project will increase the comfort level in public buildings and will positively impact more than 22 thousand children. Energy Saving and CO2 emission reductions are among the key goals of the project.
