“Children for clean energy” iC consulenten congratulated young winners of the UKrainian children creativity contest

State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE) organized the All-Ukrainian contest of children creativity on energy saving topic. The purpose of the contest is to generate energy-efficient worldview of society by engaging children and young people into  learning and practical activity  on the efficient use of energy resources, renewable energy and alternative fuels.

The contest, which was attended by children from 6 to 16 years old, was held in two categories: “Pictures” and “Handicrafts – the second life of things made of plastic and glass.”

Award ceremony, which took place on May, 20^th  at the Museum of Water, was opened by the Head of the Agency  – Alexandr Taran. “The works impress by deep understanding of the topic. They show that most of participants from their own experience know about the actual problems of energy saving”- said Mr. Taran and added that having such potential it will be much easier to build energy-independent Ukraine.

Elena Rybak, Managing Director of iC consulenten, also congratulated the winners, “Better understanding of energy saving is very important in Ukraine.  And formation of such understanding among the younger generations will become the basis of energy independence of our country in the future. I am really glad that State Agency already holds this contest  not the first year  and our children more and more think on how to make the world around them better, supporting energy efficiency and starting this process with themselves. After all, we all know that the cheapest energy is the one that we save”.

iC supports the popularization of energy-saving and creating a culture of energy consumption among the younger generation for the sustainable development of Ukraine.

Contest was also supported by EU project “Empowering of SAEE of Ukraine”, USAID project «Municipal Energy Reform in Ukraine”, the British Embassy in Ukraine and ABE “Alternative”.
