Andreas Helbl: It’s not about “green” tariff, but about the companies’ survival

General Director of LLC “iC consulenten”  Andreas Helbl,   gave an interview to the internet portal “Ukrainskaya pravda”  (Ukrainian Truth), which was published on August 8, 2014 under the “Economy” section.

Mr. Helbl told about UKEEP program (EBRD project, where iC is a Project Consultant), namely, about the mechanisms of its operation, challenges and success stories since it’s establishment on the market of Ukraine.

“Ukraine – is a country with great potential. And we are here for two reasons.
Firstly, there are many companies in your country that can take the path of sustainable development, using well known solutions that work on other markets.
Secondly, we are working in those industries, which have the whole range of challenges, both technical and financial. Our project meets these challenges “.

Additionally,  the topics relevant to the energy sector were raised, specifically those connected to green tariff, usage of the alternative energy sources by Ukrainian companies, solid waste, as well as other positive experiences of western countries , which could help Ukraine to address the energy problems. Mr. Helbl also expressed his opinion regarding  the Energy Strategy and sustainable development of Ukraine as a whole.
