iC Ukraine is a subsidiary of an international consulting and engineering company with the head office in Vienna. iC provides services in nine technical sectors, with specific focus within Ukraine on the energy efficiency and renewable energy (including institutional and policy development), transport sector, buildings and structures, water. One of the company’s core operation areas are the projects for International Finance Institutions and donor agencies in both developing and transition countries.

Currently the projects in Ukraine include various infrastructure rehabilitation assignments, including, but not limited to roads and bridges reconstruction, housing for IDPs, rehabilitation of critical water and heating infrastructure, energy efficiency and sustainability consulting assignments.

Responsibilities and job description:

Due to expansion of activities the company is looking for several mid-level engineering professionals to support various assignments. These may be professionals with the following backgrounds: energy auditor, mechanical engineering (including HVAC), electrical, civil engineering, buildings and structural fields, water and heating systems, industrial processes or related technical fields.  

Employee(s) will be providing support and perform broad variety of duties in different projects, including rehabilitation of infrastructure (water, heating), energy efficiency assessments and feasibility studies, consulting assignments, construction supervision, research projects and others.

Main Duties will depend on the qualifications and background, might include:

• Conducting various calculations and preparing technical inputs to projects;
• Preparation of the concept designs for different types of systems/equipment (incl. heating supply systems, boilers, HVAC etc.)
• Assisting with analyses of technical documentation and designs of various project types (i.e. whole building design, heating supply systems, electrical installations, etc.);
• Data collection for the project purposes;
• Conducting site visits and monitoring construction works;
• Closely working with the team of local and international engineers during the selected assignments;
• Assisting in preparing research, reports and other market analyses;
• Support with editing reports, formatting, proofreading in different languages.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Between 1 – 5 years of experience in relevant technical fields
• Deep knowledge in the specific fields
• Practical experience in design, modelling or other fields will be a benefit
• Professional certification i.e. of the energy auditor/ building energy efficiency qualification certificate, supervisor, engineering consultant or other would be a benefit
• Desire to learn, grow and develop in the international multicultural environment
• Excellent skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, AutoCad
• Good spoken and written English would be a benefit
• Stress resilience and ability to work under pressure
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability and motivated to learn fast and work in the team
• Knowledge of national laws and regulations relevant to the professional field
