Project description

The Shopping Centre Zagreb is Croatia’s largest and most sophisticated shopping centre housing some 250 different shops. The centre also offers various restaurants and leisure facilities for bowling, billiard, ice-skating and a children’s playground.

Project data

The Shopping Centre Zagreb has a retail area of some 98,000 m² on two floors. The gross floor area is approx. 200,000 m². The project also includes a multi-storey car park and outdoor parking places providing space for 6,000 vehicles.

Project specifics

The project was very demanding not only due to its enormous size but also regarding infrastructure and public transport connections. The project was implemented in a mere 15 months from project start to the opening with more than 200 tenants.

Services iC

In the construction phase iC was in charge of overall project control. The first task was to develop an optimised structure and organisation for the project.
In addition to optimising the planning process, the coordination of construction works (initial and subsequent building works) and of the tenants was one of the main focuses of iC’s tasks.
