Project description

Development of a coherent renewal path for Ukraine with a strong focus on the power grid and electricity markets. The project intended to assist the relevant institutions and the transmission system operator with regulatory and technical consultations.

The roadmap was intended to identify the necessary technical and regulatory measures in two thematic areas:

  • Power grid planning and operation
  • Market design

Project specifics

Regulatory and Technical Roadmap included:

  • Identified key areas of action
  • Catalogue of institutions
  • Catalogue of measures

Conception and organisation of the Roadmap validation workshop included the following:

  • Supporting the discussions on a “Regulatory & Technical Matchmaking” with German officials and industry with their Ukrainian counterparts
  • The regulatory matchmaking was done by dena. However, the policy consultant supported dena as a sparring partner and provided relevant information about the political Ukrainian landscape
