Building renovation projects, which started before the war, continue despite everything.
In October, works on comprehensive modernization of Ukrainian universities’ buildings were resumed under Ukraine Higher Education Programme, financed by
Nefco in Ukraine. The project stakeholders are Ukrainian universities that have joined the modernization programme, as well as the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
During the pause caused by the war, the universities participating in the project, located in western Ukraine completed the development of design and estimate documentation, obtained positive conclusions of the state expertise and were looking forward to the resumption of the programme.
Currently, the work has already started in three universities – Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and Uzhhorod National University.
Now the works of the highest priority are being performed mostly in dormitory buildings: external insulation of buildings, replacement of windows and heating systems, repair of bathrooms, etc.
