“Energy Diplomacy – what does it mean for Ukraine”: organization of lectures and expert meetings for the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute

The project was implemented in the context of the US Government “Emerging Donors Challenge Fund” aimed at projects related to the Energy Security and Energy Diversification of the Western Balkans Countries, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Armenia

• Support in organization of the lectures for students at the chosen six universities:
  • Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv
  • National University of Kharkiv
  • Chernivtsi University
  • Lviv Polytechnic National University
  • Odesa National Polytechnic University, and
  • Zaporizhzhia National University
• Organization of meetings with experts, civil society, business communities, and media on the topic “Energy Diplomacy: What Does it Mean for Ukraine?” in the cities

Project specifics

The lectures were focused on the energy policy developments in the EU and Ukraine, including trends in the EU energy policy, legislative framework, requirements for sustainable development and challenges (inter alia security of the energy infrastructure, international cooperation, energy interdependence etc.)
